Complete the small quest chain until you loot your eternal weapon. Your first job as a level 70 is to pick up the very first quest of the eternal weapon questline, go to Lessa Korin just outside of Alittu at /setwaypoint 4010 6194.

You will want to always choose the Endurance heavy options and aim for full Preserver gear.
A lot of that Guard will come from your essences, with the rest from your planar fragments.
You can use VP gear to fill out slots that just don’t drop for you, but you should prioritise INTEL spending on accessories and upgrades. You only need to buy VP gear (left side) if you do not plan to be running group content such as dungeons and raids.

As you start looting better Planar Fragments from dungeons and raids, upgrade them to at least level 9 (or until you get a bad stat).Use you Legion Datagrams to buy Storm Cells from the shop or to fill out missing gear pieces (be aware that BIS pieces will only drop in the raid and will need upgrading with storm cells which also drop from the raid bosses).Complete as many weeklies as you can and choose Legion Datagrams as the reward if it is available.Buy your synergy crystal from the Rift Store.Join a DRR run at least once a day to start looting your BIS essences.Farm Celestial IA for Planar Defence Force notoriety – Use it to buy your focus to slot your new essences into.Buy your rings, Earrings, Neck and Trinket from the Utilla Quartermaster in VP. Work on your Utilla Resistence Notoriety and FARM INTEL.Farm Planarite using NMR – Buy Tenebrean Planar Attuners from Rift Store > Crafting > Reagents.Ensure you are crafting the Amenders you will need every day so you can upgrade your gear ASAP.Be sure to do the crafting weeklies on as many characters as possible and participate in CRIFTS.Get your Planar Crafted Helm and Ranged Weapon and upgrade them.Grab the Eternal Weapon quest from just outside Alittu and upgrade it!.
